A Backyard Dream Turned Athens Favorite
Kiser’s BBQ began in 2009 right here in Athens, Ohio, with a simple goal: bring people together over slow-smoked, home-style barbecue. What started as a small spot serving pork sandwiches and hearty sides quickly became a local go-to. Our loaded mac, chopped pork, and smoked classics earned a loyal following—and made us a part of the Athens food scene.
We Paused—Then Came Back Stronger
When COVID hit, like many small businesses, we had to close our doors. But the Athens community never stopped supporting us. In March 2023, we reopened with a fresh look, the same smoky favorites, and a bigger commitment to serving the town that stood by us.
