Absolute must stop if you love BBQ and are visiting Athens! You can go in and grab your menu, seat your self and easily order using QR code on the table, if that’s not your style someone will come take your order but we honestly loved being able to talk and browse the menu and order on our own time. It smelled ... delicious and being able to see them make your food we instantly knew we were in for a treat. It was very clean all the staff was friendly! Our service was super quick and the food was as expected delicious! We had to sample both the fries and chips both were great choices so you can’t go wrong with either one. I opted for a pulled pork sandwich and got the slaw on the side and my daughter got the Mac and cheese topped with pulled pork. We both chose the sweet heat bbq which was delicious. The slaw was some of the best I have ever had and the pork was piled high and cooked to perfection. As an added bonus the restaurant is very nice with murals on the outside walls. I believe in nicer weather there is also outdoor seating (it was storming on our visit). Other positives are the super cute kids corner and love the fact that they donate 10% every Tuesday to local charities. The BBQ was fantastic here. It was very easy to order off the QR code menu . They have lots of choices and the prices were very fair for the quality of food. I am so happy I found this place on a whim . I will be back

First time eating here and the food was awesome. I live over two hours away and I was driving through for work and wanted some mom and pop food. Very glad I stopped here. This is an excellent BBQ place with easy off and on access from Hwy 33 (exit 196) in Athens, OH. They have a dog friendly outdoor patio. The smoked chicken hind quarters are excellent, as are the three sides we chose: creamy buttermilk coleslaw, fresh cut fries, and baked beans. Servers were attentive and friendly. ... Food was fantastic as always! Prices are about mid range...not value menu but not outrageously priced. And the quantity of the food you get is very good for the price. Kiser's is our go to family meal. The BEST pulled brisket ever. Pulled pork is amazing. I love that you can purchase it by the pound. Great for protein lovers that don't want a carb filled bun. The sauces make it even better! Habby is my favorite, but the sweet and spicy and sweet red are a close second.
